North Springs High School Welcomes New Principal Mr. Barchi

Area Superintendent Mr. Len Box assured the Governance Board at their November 15, meeting that he wanted to have a strong interim principal for NSCS who could "hit the ground running" and he delivered.

The friendly Army Colonel and former Principal with the firm handshake, occupying the corner office, (with the door always open) is the new interim Principal for North Springs High School, Mr. Norm Barchi.  Teachers and students had the pleasure of meeting and talking with Norm and then the PTSA invited all parents to a Coffee and Conversation with Mr. Barchi on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 in the media center.

After the meeting Mr. Barachi stated, "I want to thank the PTSA for the opportunity and thank the many parents who came.  You've got a fine school here at North Springs!  Yes, there are challenges, there always are, and we are going to work on them, and some things will take time.  But after visiting each classroom at least twice, and meeting and talking with many North Springs students, I am very impressed with the faculty and the polite and respectful students at North Springs. The teachers here are professionals and top notch and all of us at North Springs are engaged in something very important. We're not producing widgets here, we are responsible for teaching and developing the most important asset this country has; its young men and women, America's future leaders. It's a great mission and I appreciate your support and the warm welcome I've received. North Springs is terrific."
